Ashtanga
Yoga is a way of life that we experience within our whole being. Finding a dedicated teacher or Guru can direct you towards that experience.
Ashtanga yoga is a traditional yoga method that originally comes from Mysore, India where it was taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Nowadays, the institute of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga has passed to the hands of R. Sharath Jois who continues the tradition.
"For those who have an intense urge for Spirit and wisdom, it sits near them, waiting." Patanjali, the Yoga Sutras.
About Me
Angeliki embraced an ultimate change in her life, resulting in her embarking on a journey towards a more peaceful and creative environment. In the Netherlands she discovered the perfect place to dedicate herself to Yoga and further develop her practice. She loves practicing and sharing her personal experience by teaching, following the traditional method of Ashtanga yoga. She feels complete when she sees the development of the practice to the students and how the benefits of their practice apply to their life.
Angeliki is an Ashtanga Yoga student and teacher. In 2012 and after an intensive 200-hour course she started to teach Hatha Yoga. In 2014, she had her first interaction with Ashtanga yoga. From then onwards she is devoted to the traditional method of Ashtanga Yoga and she is practicing daily. Ever since she has followed teachers to whom she is grateful for the knowledge and experience that they shared with her.
Practice
Back in 2008 and right after my Business Administration studies, I was working in a large banking organization in Greece. At the beginning of my career, I was willing to acquire more knowledge and professional experience without counting my limits. Working in a tough project-driven environment with strict deadlines, I was fully committed to delivering the goals of my employer. My daily life was busy and stressful, and time was flying by in a fruitless way.

Abhyanga
Abhyanga the ayurvedic oil massage - is a therapeutic technique for overall health and well-being. "Abhyanga" in Sanskrit - Indian language means massaging the body's limbs or glowing body. It is derived from "abhi", meaning into or glow and "anga" meaning limb. "Sneha" is the word for oil, which means to love or affection. By receiving this warm oil massage from head to toe, the body literally coats with a layer of affection, as well as a healing touch.
Angeliki spend two months in India and after hours of receiving and giving massage in the training she completed the Certificate of Ayurvedic Therapy.
Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese tradition, commonly referred as healing energy. Actually, ”Rei” means the Higher Power and ”Ki” the life force energy, so Reiki is the spiritually guided life force energy.
It involves the transfer of energy by laying on hands and it works with the energy fields around the body. Energy can stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or possibly emotional pain. In the long run, these energy blocks can cause illness.
The Abhyanga treatment can be 60 or 90 minutes and is tailored to match individual needs for a treatment that brings about a sense of openness and wellbeing on a physical, mental and emotional level. Only use of organic oils.

A Reiki treatment lasts 90minutes and is private. By using only the hands in contact with the skin/face & body or at a distance. In case of any sensitivity please inform us in advance.
The New and Full Moon days are considered as auspicious in the Ashtanga Yoga tradition. So these days we do not practice. We take rest! In case we have excess energy and time we can meditate.
We commit to the daily practice and consistently observe the moon days. This helps us connect with the cycles of nature. We attune ourselves to the rhythms of life.
Seeking for the source of Ashtanga yoga, Angeliki met R. Sharath Jois in Copenhagen, in 2017. After that, she has been studying under the guidance of R. Sharath Jois at Mysore, India, the birthplace of this traditional method. Next to her daily practice, her personal commitment is to visit every year the Shala at Sharath Yoga Centre.
Her eagerness and willingness for further pursuance of deepening her knowledge in Yoga led her to study Sanskrit, Philosophy and Chanting of the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita in India with Dr. M.A. Jayashree and Professor M.A. Narasimhan.
Believing in the healing techniques of Reiki in her teaching and after successful completion of the Second Degree, she enhanced the strength of her natural touch. As the hands on adjustments to the practitioner play an essential role in Ashtanga yoga, the Reiki is transmitted through her palms .
The result of that lifestyle was first noticed in my body. I felt it very stiff and I had the symptoms of a sedentary and hectic lifestyle. I was diagnosed with scoliosis and carpal tunnel syndrome. At the same time, allergies and asthma were severely attacking my immune system. Triggered by these somatic symptom disorders, I started to seek for an alternative way of medical care to confront those difficulties. All of a sudden, a friend invited me to a yoga workshop and that was my first contact with yoga, which was destined to be my endless passion. Something “magic” had happened in my life…

It was hard to make the decision to quit a life that I had been building for many years and escape my comfort zone. However, it was the philosophy of Yoga that helped me realize that the purpose of my being was more spiritual and closer to my personal growth. Now, I live the day. I do everything in life bearing a big smile and following my personal motto: problems are nothing more than challenges that we have to deal with in order to become stronger and more aware.
